I've been using budget 3.5mm mini cables for years and the difference in build quality here is noticeable the moment you plug it in. The connector fits snug with no wiggle, and the shielding seems to keep things quiet even near my laptop.

Swapped this onto my HD600s and the background hiss I used to get from my amp is just gone. The 3.5mm plug seats with a satisfying click and doesn't wobble when I move around at my desk. Two weeks in and it still feels like a genuine upgrade.

Swapped this onto my over-ear cans and the difference in the low end is subtle but there. Only gripe is the cable's a bit stiff right out of the box, though it seems to be loosening up with use.
